I was using Milroe but really wanted Cam Ward since release. Spent almost 2 mil coins on him and have Extender, magician, pull down, dot and workhorse on him. He will overthrow blue balls on placement and accuracy and it seems like he misses 10x the throws Milroe did... Am I doing something wrong? I'm pretty bummed he isn't playing well I might have to go back to Milroe but really don't want to because I love Cam Ward.

Take off Dot and try again. I noticed my QBs overthrowing a ton of passes. Took Dot off and it got a lot better.

this might sound crazy, but try him without all those abilities. I think I’m running only Magician and he’s throwing better. using Placement settings with small lead and 5 speed.

It’s funny because I made a thread very similar to this when I first got him. It seemed like my RG3 was playing better than him. He is decent now but still misses some throws

I think the whole Best Release thing makes people think he is better than he really is ... he seems to fumble a lot too - does Best Release really make all that much difference
Also Ward doesn't have much in terms of Plat discounts etc
How much difference does a Best Release make I have no idea what the releases are but pretty much all these guys threw great balls for me: Kirk, Booty, Burrow and great release Allar and they were all pretty much the same except Kirk gets all Plat stuff

passing abilities don't work on placement and accuracy. Dot for example will not trigger when using placement and accuracy, magician/extender/workhorse are the 3 typical go-to abilities for that passing type

I was able to pull a sellable one, but had pulled Cam Newton bnd a few days prior so I sold for 2.4 mil. I did use him for a few days before selling. His release is very quick and accuracy was definitely on point, but I did have problems with fumbles. I don't run a lot with my QB, but if there is nothing open, I'm taking off. Seemed like half the time he got touched, he fumbled. If you are strictly a pocket passer, Ward is your guy. If you like to run at all, you better slide or run out of bounds if a defender gets within 5 yards.

dot doesnt do anything on placement and accuracy..if u want the most out of him keep dot on and go to placement he will throw dimes

Glad I saw this. I’ve been wondering why he’s overthrowing corner routes like crazy, way out of bounds for no reason. And then under throwing wide open deep balls. This wasn’t a thing until recently.

Dang that’s crazy. I have been running cam ward since the day he came out, in 140 games I have 295 pass tds, 95 int, 22 rush tds. So a 3-1 td int ratio. I run magician, extender, dot, pulldown, and workhorse. Run placement and accuracy I run my reticle at 20 and I love free forming. idk if you free form alot but Cam Ward is my favorite qb In the game for free forming. Goff is a great card to throw with and his deep ball is second to none but any passing on the move and free form bullet passes. Ward clears Goff to me. Goff for me would overthrow a lot of free form passes that I blue with ward without even thinking. I think every qb in this game has it’s own things that make it better from person to person. I have used every addition of Ward this year and play the most efficient with him. So it’s just surprising to see anyone with an issue.
