I do agree its probably a bit late for this type of program, but it woulda done well earlier in the year in my opinion. I kinda feel like they just wanted to try something new to get feedback and see if its something they would like to pursue more of in the future.

Not if the drops were more like drips and kept pace with the rest of the game. Say they all start as 70's and slowly progress keeping pace, or even slightly behind the very best cards.

I agree early season would be more attractive...but this would seem to limit players to just using this group. They gotta find a way to give it a wider appeal, player option wise.

This would actually be a great idea!

This, exactly this. Pay 2x3 times what you'd pay for the best players in the game at many positions, and you won't really even know what their ratings will look like until you've made that full investment

This is weird release, because on the face of it, the coin/training sink is simply not worth it. Like dude said above, if they do it earlier in the year, it's legit the only team ppl would be running (assuming they shaved the costs). As a NMS person, no way I'm spending all the requirements on these players. End of the year or not, I'll just stick with what I've been using.
What is inexcusable is that the (upgradeable 90ovr) players don't even get their original team chem. So for KVA (Notre Dame) I gotta spend the 15k just to put his ACTUAL team chem on? Plus whatever else to level him up. I've never really punted on a program, but they made it incredibly easy for me to do so with this one. I wouldn't be surprised that, if it comes back next year, it's not drastically changed.
It’s actually very simple first, you upgrade your coach and select the traits that you would like to enhance as well. Then you select what players you would like to upgrade then by doing the special event, you can unlock upgrade tokens or if you go to sets, you can trade in non BND players for upgrade tokens as well. The dynasty players have the ability to choose any team chemistry, scheme, and you can choose specific upgrades on what you want from the player. Example, if you choose the quarterback, you can upgrade him to be a scrambler versus a field general and code versa.

so one semi cool thing, you can refund upgrade tokens and put them on someone else. so I took them off my LG (and bought booker for 200k cause he was better anyways lol) and put them on my FB. The FB IS ACTUALLY good, best in game actually. If you use a FB you can get one now with 99 RB Lead Blk and I think impact blk. Not someone you would really want to use in passing or running game but may be serviceable in that area, really though if you like to pound the rock outa Iform thai might be the move. Also another idea would be kicker or punter, but idk if it’s worth it
I think it’d be better if it affected a wider variety of stats because the receivers are all stuck with 85 ball carrier moves and the linebackers can really on be pass coverage or run stopper
I upgraded the FB. Seemed like the logical choice.

you get the 25 players from the welcome pack, there arent even 25 of them you can buy lol where you been. that said im not engaging with that promo outside of the champs and LTds

Kicker, and FB i was thinking myself, but ill prob not do any of those cards TBH
To be honest the only thing im not happy with is the timing of the promo (I think season 3 would have been the perfect time IMO) and the lack of card art for them. I think it’s pretty cool to be able to customize the cards to the degree we can. Ashton Hampton plays ball aggressive and is 6”2 I only need one more token for him to be 99. I have the Punter and Kicker almost fully upgraded. There is this 6”3 notre dame linebacker I have at 98 ovr and I have my fb at 99 ovr already. I don’t like that there are certain key stats that are left out of the upgrades you can apply. At the same time that’s the kind of fun I have as a nerd of sports games and looking over the best course of upgrades for the cards I saw with potential.
