So, I'm sure this has been answered before but I didn't see anywhere to search the forum.  Here's what I'm wondering:

  • If a 99 OVR DE like this one https://cfb.fan/players/21153-eric-oneill/25-48021153/ who has no traits, what does that mean?
  • If a player does not have the strip ball trait will they never do it?
  • what is high motor and  clutch mean?
  • If a player has say a high Power move and and  low finesse move but only has the pass rush finesse trait how does that impact what he does?

I'm just thinking maybe traits play more of a roll then anything else or maybe not-just looking for clarification.

May your pack pulls be tremendous

thx

I'm not an expert and I could be wrong, but my best guess for each of your questions:

1. No traits means they will not automatically try specific pass rush moves (Bull, Spin, Swim). If they have they trait on Yes, it means they will attempt those moves while being controlled by the CPU. However, I have had players with no pass rush moves still able to make plays in the pass rush game, so no idea if it matters as much as others claim.

2. No strip ball trait should mean the same thing. It means they will not try to strip the ball automatically while being controlled by the CPU.

3. High Motor means your player will not give up on a play. Guys with no high motor aren't as explosive when trying to make plays. Clutch just means they perform better in close games/4th down/game winning drive etc... So if you have a WR with the clutch trait, he should be more apt to make a crazy catch on a game winning drive than a guy who doesn't have it.

4. From my understanding, if a player has 95 PWM, 86 FNM, but only has the Swim Move pass rush trait on yes, it means he won't use the PWM rating unless he's being usered by you.

Thanks man, that helps.

  • 4. From my understanding, if a player has 95 PWM, 86 FNM, but only has the Swim Move pass rush trait on yes, it means he won't use the PWM rating unless he's being ushered by you.  -I have heard this think you are correct.

  • High Motor means your player will not give up on a play. Guys with no high motor aren't as explosive when trying to make play-This is really good to know.

One last question I forgot to ask so the ability team player negates any penalties but the overall may drop if I move a 97 lolb to mlb who is now rated a 95.  Is this drop because he's out of position or because his overall is being judged by a different set of criteria. Are the penalties for playing someone out of position attribute wise hidden without team player?

thx again

Regarding the LOLB to MLB I believe it is because they are being judged on a different criteria. I have seen my buddy in squads move certain safeties to corner and they play absolutely excellent. I know back in the nightmare promo I used Bray Hubbard at corner and he was great at the time.

I got you, thanks man. I got the team player ability but noticed no difference.  Let me ask you, I never use anything like those legion abilities  for corners or rally for lineman do you?

The new What If cards have those types of traits built into them for free but I never really notice anything. Everyone's cards are just too good nowadays even if you have a 95 overall team.
