How can anyone enjoy this game when the D is non existent?
I take zero pleasure in scoring a TD cos I can select pretty much any play and get a TD. It really is not fun to me scoring when it’s not challenging. It’s literally the first player to screw up loses.

Yeah, I just can’t do it. I am hoping Madden is going to be a slowed down version of this with better D. I won’t be pre ordering tho, I’ll wait for the 10 hour free trial and then decide. Otherwise I think I’m out.

it is the most boring ultimate team mode I’ve ever played which is strange cos you’d think they’d be making an effort to get cash out of us.
I know it’s a different sport but the best ultimate team mode I’ve played is FIFA/EAFC. So much better.
Defense is largely non existent in this game right now. Helps me a lot on offense because I’m awful and always have been at that but defense I can do.
The defense in this game is usable if you Learn the packages how to set them up and you are comfortable with pre play adjustments and how to adjust them to your opponent. I’ve gotten to a point im Consistantly shutting just about everyone down and I’m pretty confident my D can win or at least keep me in it against anyone
Just got another pick as I started writing this with my pad down. Killing it on D by not touching my pad. 9 picks in 3 and a bit games lol

Wait that’s what you mean, just letting the cpu play your D for you? Doesnt that leave a man just standing still, whoever you have highlighted?

Yeah letting the cpu do it. Nope, as long as you don’t touch the controller the CPU controls your man. Stupid as. I’ve got so many picks it’s crazy.
defense isn’t that bad it’s because the game has catered to offensive players first. If you have a D first team and don’t rush with your linemen you should be solid. Plus it’s early and EA will slowly start releasing more dogs on D like Von Miller today
I disagree on the defense, the tackling and pursuit angles are bad but the play recognition and cpu zones are much better than Madden, as long as you break down and strafe with the user you will make be ok. But i sucks when the cpu controlled corner or olb just runs by the guy with the ball.
