I feel like plat house call is the most popular ability for DBs but I run gold/plat ballhawks because I like the faster reactions
I run gold house call on my top 2 CBs and then ballhawk on either my FS or SS. I do notice a big difference on guys with the aggressive ball trait or high AWR/Play rec, they react to the ball so much faster with the abilities.
I use 4 ball hawks for my nickel package. Can be a bitch to stop takeoffs but love the reactions I get, especially from my not “elite” 93 ovr defense. Ball hawk goes a long way imo
Still doesn’t do much against takeoffs however
I play ballhawk on my slot, robber mlb, house call safeties, quick jump ends. Texas playbook, mostly stay in zone, throw in some disguises and fake blitzes, user slot/nickel. Don’t really have an issue.

On solo seasons maybe

Learn to play cornerback/nickel, route concepts. Most dudes run the same play, not that hard to catch on. I’m sorry that takeoff has hurt you so
I was just offering advice/different perspective on how I play against the very thing that there’s 6+ threads of y’all complaining about. Take it as you will
I think at this stage of the game go with anyone with platinum abilities. Plat ballhawk, house call, robber all have great benefits I prefer over the blanket man coverage imo.
However I've had a few god squads just run basic man with those and it is super frustrating also as they combine that with crazy pressure.
Seems better than housecall or man to me.

I've had a god squad since sometime in season 2. I have never, ever had much luck with blanket coverage and running man. I feel like it just never worked for me and I was constantly being burned.
As a classic pro style offense guy (committing to the run to open up the deep pass) I promise you I HATE teams running 4 ballhawks. Every time I air it out there they go running to pick it off. Forces me to go into a more intermediate passing game over the middle which I am not at all comfortable in.

Going into football nerd territory here but aren't most pro passes intermediate? And then they use short pass to sling it deep? West Coast type shii
