Takeoff needs addressing

I'm in a rarity as I run the ball religiously, I don't use takeoff. I use strong grips on my entire Oline, the rest on Cam Ward. 

If drop coverage is boring, id highly recommend switching games. Abilities are levels more specific here then in mut so you can't just press zero blitz all game every game.

I have been interested in running a lineup like this with strong grip. Does it work well?

I know it’s not the goal of your thread, but a counter ability to takeoff is robber on your DBs. Takeoff gives WRs/TEs a boost off the line, but Robber helps the DB recover. Just in case you or anyone else didn’t know. 
 

As for the rest of your post I get it. The game was a lot more diverse and enjoyable early on. Now everyone kinda plays the same. It’s stale until the next version comes out in July.

Robber doesn’t counter gold take off. I have tested it.

Not even the slightest. It’s just too OP and is turning the game into the same play all game every game

Bro takeoffs are not that broken

Just gotta pay attention to them. Like players can be manually backed off if you wanna press certain guys (not by moving them back with your user as well, with Y/triangle, A/X, you can choose people to back up while leaving other guys pressed

Can get all of my adjustments off for my defense before the offense can even snap the ball and never get burnt by takeoffs unless I get hit by some input lag

And people heavily relying in takeoffs helps as with these adjustments you can either get free picks or derail people's offenses who heavily rely on them

I wouldn't say abilities need to go, but they need to be returned back to what they were in madden 20

Madden 20 was the most arcade madden you'll ever play but tbh it was the best madden I've ever played

3 players on both sides you could deck out with abilities and you couldn't activate anymore than 3. No 0 APs where everyone has abilities, just 3 guys on offense and defense who had 3 ability slots (gold 99s got 4 which actually made gold 99s meaningful)

i dont find drop coverages to be boring, i find cheesey man blitzes to be boring.. man coverage is boring in general, and i dont run it bc one guy getting open is a td alot of the time in any football game even prior to take off. Sounds like you are just pissed that cheesey ass zero blitzes arent viable against the average player with take offs

this is nothing like madden with Ap always being the same and no discounted abilites.. madden is awful for that, makes people cram as many abilities as they can onto every player, then they feel they have to get the next meta card bc its 1 less ap..thats awful, this is more like 2k with badges, but even more limited, bc you cant have abilities on everyone, and cant stack multiple on each player even in end game. like i have 1 ability on 4/5 Dbs and 1/4 Dlineman 0 on LBs. 10 ap on my qb 1 on HB and the rest on 1 wr 0 on te oline or my 2nd and 3rd wr.  In madden its multiple on every player, and its like an accomplishment  to complete a pass bc of KO abilities, with no counter outside of deep in deep out so on, thats unrealistic asf and not balanced, in cut theres 1 ability for better catching everywhere.. countering KO thats in the game too but not even meta like madden.
