Not realizing DDA attacks the better player….
Looks like someone wants to start the ol' DDA conversation up again...
It's not really a conversation at this point. I was skeptical for the longest but playing house rules fixed that for me. I watched a 90 speed Jennings (qb) chase down my 99 speed Porter from behind. I saw Porter, in that same game have house call light up on a ball thrown directly to him, and he dropped it. I generally attribute drops by the dbs to why they play defense and not offense, but i get a hell of a lot more wide open dropped picks when I play a lower ovr team.

Not everything can be called DDA. A lot of it is genuinely the terrible coding of this game.

You're basically saying the same thing.
EA Sports is buns and should be put in el salvadore jail.
The DDA thing is go put Megatron with 3 plat abilities on and play a 93 ovr with a 92-95 db single coverage and watch him get clamped and beat on a jump ball or just watch how he gets zero separation.
Then play a 98ovr same thing against a 99ovr db with 99spd and magically he's dunking.
Call that shit coding or DDA, whatever it is, it's garbage. This company is so stupid they literally make spending money on the game a bad outcome choice.
This is like watching Joe biden ride a bicycle 2 years from now. Shit ain't right.

I just think the game is very flukey, which allows dumb things to happen all the time. Of course, this means a higher overall player getting bad animations compared to lower overall players. Gameplay is inconsistent and abilities can be unreliable.
Also, worse players sometimes outperform better players in real life. But, if you're spending money to get good players, you probably expect to get better results, which is understandable.

Whatever it is that makes speed irrelevant, I don't think it's unintentional

Fluky= gifts for 1 way, gifts not earned.
DDA in a nutshell

Animations used to be ratings locked.
Now it’s wherever makes EA money. That’s the point. You talk as if you don’t have the experience expertise knowledge and awareness to really speak on this subject.

Game script. And when you bust it that’s when DDA rears its ugly head. Gotta “keep people engaged” like the patent says right?
EA fair play right? Has nothing to do with player attitude it has everything to do with A ”FAIR” LEVEL playing field.
DDA is EAs way of manipulating kids into thinking they gotta spend to win or even compete.
Watching things like 91 speed defenders run down 98-99 speed players too many times. Watched my accuracy threshold QB no pressure constantly miss passes. Watched blockers stare their assignments in the face kiss them on the mouth and refuse to block them/sprint away from them. Watch my 98-99 speed players be outran by 91 speed players. Watch passes literally banana away from my defenders so my opponents can complete passes. Watched a 72 speed CB get the fg block animation and block a kick. And that’s one nights worth, which is the same exact script for 10 years of EA Ultimate Team. Except this is any and every game, all day every day any day.
But DDA doesn’t exist.
DDA isnt in the game.

You say this cuz you’re the one of the recipients of DDA lol

All I'm saying is that many parts of gameplay are poorly programmed, which I think everyone can agree with. You can call it whatever you want, but everyone has dumb things happen to them during games. That's just how the game is.
