Is there a true out of position penalty for the o-line?

Currently, I have Tyler Booker as the left guard, but I need an upgrade. Willie Lampkin is a 97 RG with better stats than Slappy 96 LG, who I was interested in getting. Would Lampkin turn into a bum if I bought him and put him at LG, or would he play the same as he would at RG?

i run lampkin at LG and he does fine. Iv read before in older maddens that your OOP olinemen will take on the awareness  of your starting center, for better or worst.im assuming the same on CUT. but lamp is fine at lg, little small but ok

i got maybe 15 false starts trying to audible routes with a RT at RG
