I already tried to generate best lineup multiple times. I feel like it is something simple, but can't get to the bottom of it. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Someone advised me that on Madden historically there has been a limit of 55 players for Ultimate Team. I haven't tested that number myself. Outside of your base offense and defense I've noticed that I can have up to 3 additional players that are not featured in my lineup. It makes since too because O and D is 50 players. K and P are 2 players. That means you can have up to 3 more different players. I typically have a Sub LB, different O-lineman, and a second kicker (I don't have my end-game kicker yet and can't justify adding 15k to a relatively inexpensive kicker for TT). You can't have too many different "specialist" players in other words.
It's glitchy though because sometimes I change things and enter the game just fine and then the next game I try to play it won't let me due to lineup. Usually replacing one specialist with a base lineup player does the trick.
