How should I use trophies?

I just got my season 5 upgrade token and have yet to buy a season 5 players with my trophies. Is it worth getting a player that can be upgraded and if so who should I get? If not I'm guessing its best to use the trophies for reward packs

Just depends on who you need, plus idk exactly who will be eligible for upgrade. Probably all except the highest overalls will be

At this point if the year I'm paying more attention to scheme because the upgraded card will likely stay in my lineup till endgame. Running 50/50 TT/Scheme will be realistically achievable now for the average person.
