Are QB abilities tied to certain settings?

I’ve read multiple places that QB abilities only active when using Placement, not classic..

Is this the case? I use a decent amount of abilities on my QB and would hate to waste the AP. I’m fine with trying new pass setting if needed, curious if anyone knows for sure.

Accuracy related abilities will not proc when using placement and accuracy, bit will when using placement. Those includes dot, step up, and mobile resistance.

Ok thank you. So if I’m running those abilities it only activates on Placement? They should say that in game lol

Yeah, I've been running dot and step up on every qb for months without realizing. Once I did I've switched to physical abilities like magician and extender that work on all passing types, and since getting an elite qb I switched to placement and run like 10 ap on him lol

Truee, I was using Placement but my buddies on Squads were giving me shit bc it also changed their settings. so if I switch back to classic I might as well not waste AP on Dot and step up.

I didn’t know this about squads. Another thing I found that was really annoying though is that your kicking settings get switched to your partner if they are playing offense. I use the “tap and tap“ setting instead of the “tap and hold” so it messes me up all the time when I’m on offense. Your settings should be YOUR settings. It’s stupid that it changes things up for your squad.

100%, no idea why my settings are active for someone else on squads
