Been getting a server error all day

I can log into the main ultimate team page and use the auction house, but nothing else works. Can’t even go into practice mode..

I despise EA's servers and the game's need to always be connected. You can't even play single player offline stuff without being connected. That's crap.

I chatted with ea help and they informed me to be patient because there are thousands of others experiencing the same problem.
