I just lost a game because nick nash burnt my brand new sneed. I was in cover 2 man, I shaded overtop, I have the db strategy so he has 99 man, he didn't have any wear and tear. he has +3 speed on nick nash and he got torched. is that dda because he was a 93 and I was a 96 or did I do something wrong.
Idk if it’s forsure DDA or not, but yeah stats don’t always matter. Idk why. I wouldn’t rely on logic when it comes to matchups. The game will decide who wins sometimes regardless of stats.
bro what, I just spent 900k on this dude just for his stats to mean nothing.
If you’re in Cover 2 man then you should press but not shade over the top. That’s what your safeties are for. You want your corners running in a trail technique.

Thats my mistake but I really don't think that means a 94 speed should torch a 97 speed

Yes & no…If you weren’t pressing he wouldn’t beat him. But because you did - That’s where his 94 release bit you. Depending on chems it could be as high as 97. While Sneed is an excellent press corner, When it’s 97 press vs 94 release it’s a dice roll you would probably win 7 out of 10 times, He just won that one.
A good comparison is Larry Fitzgerald. He wasn’t fast at all but he could beat press attempts easily and then stack the receivers and make the catch. I understand why it’s frustrating but that’s football, Sometimes the other guy gets one.
He could have had takeoff on or press pro. If you press and he gets a good release you are gonna be a step behind no matter what. The only way to close the gap in that scenario would be a bad throw.
No press takeoff might give him a boost, but also be mindful of awareness ratings. When Offense isn’t in an obvious passing situation, the play recognition and awareness factor in. Also, play action can do wonders in the right spots.
Don’t forget, even the best give up big plays. That’s why you play the game, if ratings dictated everything, games would be decided before you even play.
Throw a shell on when they are passing situations to disguise your coverage and it will make effect the QB’s pass.
