I don't know what to fix, I have 2 95 95-speed corners, Larkin at FS, and a 90-speed strong safety. They say my linebackers are awful although it's Ray Lewis and Fred Warner. my defense is a 95 and idk what to fix
Well Ray Lewis only has 90 speed I believe and a 90 speed strong safety is going to struggle against 94+ speed receivers, so that's where I would start

What's is your go to scheme?
My team is only a 91 but I absolutely thrive on defense. 4-3 multiple I live in cover 2 flats. I use ball hawk on my corners, robber on my safeties. And I try to blitz where they don't expect and user the same side safety.
I mean picking the right defensive plays and making the pre-snap adjustments are life and death on defense. (Is the team only running corners and quick outs? *right bumper ->up on right stick to guess pass* then *Triangle/Y -> right stick to the right to play outside*) And so on. Letting the defense just react is not gonna cut it at this stage in the game anymore, CPU players will get burnt if they aren't directed on what to expect. Upgrade the SS and get some better MLBs for usering - the user is the most dangerous defender on the field so you want to have cards with great speed, accel and cod to make proactive and reactive stops. Also tell your buddies to take it easy its just a game.

thank you, i usually can't stop tight ends on short yards and people using Judkins (only ever Judkins tho I'm fine with everyone else)
They user corners or linebackers, I always user line though

A good tip for stopping the run is to shift your Dline to the side opposite of where the running back is lined up (odds are the RB is running left if they are lined up on the right side).
User a linebacker and let the line do their job. Chances are slim that you’re going to do anything to help the lineman as a user. also you can’t switch stick from a lineman so your hands are tied if you want to react to passes. It’s not impossible to do, but you’re handicapping yourself. You’ll get better at using linebackers the more you do it
You can't user the line, it won't help anymore. You have to defend the pass. You mentioned a 90 speed safety well check out Watts or Moore. I can't stop saying that, they can literally play anywhere (CB, S, SUB LB) and be great. Maybe try usering one of them.
Now to scheme over team. Imo all you need in this game is Cover 4 and Cover 2 (but I run variants of Cover 3 a lot, I try to master it instead of cheesing it). Cuz the passing in this game is fade, corner, zig, and speed out. Or cheesing with stretch runs, which are easy to stop by pinching d line and spreading LB.
And get better at switch stick
