Scheme Team/Theme Team recommendations

Up until about a week ago I hadn't used either a scheme/theme team all year, past years on MUT I'd run them all the time. For anyone that's used either on CFB, do you think it's worth limiting the players you can use on a scheme team, or 15k/player to build a theme team? I just started to build a pro style but all the new natty cards are spread or air raid so I'm considering switching schemes or moving to a theme team. 

I run a decent amount of PA and like to air it out so maybe pro style just isn't for me but interested in seeing what people have had success with so far, taking playbook recs as well

no I don't think scheme teams are worth it at all. Nowhere near enough good cards to try to sacrifice the top ends to get +1 more speed on your guys. Sure it'll make the top end dudes a little better, but then you're also stuck with losers on the field as well, who that +1 speed is a marginal difference for. For example you could have a 50/50 TT with +1 speed on four different 95 ovr WRs of your choosing, or you could have a single 96 ovr and in some cases a 90 ovr guy with +2 speed (again, still need a 50/50 to be worth it) to get him up to like 93 speed tops. Plus it shuts down any new playbooks you want to try that aren't that scheme. Cool concept, but really limits what cards and names you can use- just not nearly enough variety for it to be worth anything (imo)

Appreciate it, I think up until this point its worked in my favor bc a lot of the good cards are pro style but I think they'll start to even it out. Are there any theme teams you recommend building out or is it just based on playbook?

Like Theme team wise- I would just pick your favorite school, you can add anyone to it for 15K, it's pricey but it lets you use literally anyone. If you want to look and see (off the top of my head I would think OSU/Oregon/Norte Dame(?) would have the most base cards to use as chemisty that you don't have to change. Scheme team wise- yeah you probably should just go with favorite playbook- but like you said as well OVR-wise I think Pro Style is the best at the moment, Air raid might be catching up.

Lmfao I should've looked at your name- I think Michigain has a solid foundation as well so you'd be solid with that!

Ive stated in other posts, Ive been maxed TT, 50/50 air raid, 50/50 4-3 multiple, way back since Szn 1 when training was cheap. Won a Bnd TT natty, then sold and rebuilt at 500k. Grinding and gradually doing the 15k additions. Only an 89, but I can compete with the best. Unlocked that Sampson card last night. Doesn't fit the scheme but Team boosted 96 speed, 97 acceleration for free is solid

I’ve gotten killed by Sampson he’s a dawg. What air raid playbook have you liked I’m not sure if I’ve used one this year

I just made a 50/50 Georgia tt because they have 2 guys with 5x team boost. I think Texas is the only other team with 2 guys that have 5x team chem, not sure about that tho. Georgia was actually pretty cheap to get 50 because they have so many players in the game. I only had to spend like 300k on 20 players chems. Scheme chem doesn’t seem worth it to me, I want to use the players I want and I like to use bnd cards so it makes it really hard to come across guys with the same scheme chem.

just pulled LTD Will from the 91+ challenge reward pack so it was always meant to be a Michigan TT lol. There goes my pack luck for the rest of the year

I would say theme teams are worth it, plus one speed on the entire team is crazy. I run 50/50 UM theme team.

I don’t think scheme teams are worth it though

Playbook wise, it’s weird but u can read my name, I love the option playbook, spend extra on hbs and less on receivers, i have success with Army and Navy, army has good gun also. For ”normal” people, I think Western Kentucky isnt bad, lots of fun shot plays out of empty
