Conservative or Balanced?

Usually run conservative from the start of every game, but thinking of switching to balanced. For those that play balanced, do you just brace every time you are about to be hit to avoid fumbling? Or do fumbles rarely happen even when on balanced?

I don't brace for hits and I fumble rarely, Its obviously gonna make you fumble more often but I usually only fumble once every 2-4 games but half the time my team recovers anyway
