Theme Teams Currently Worth It?

Just made a 50/50 Alabama, 50/50 Pro style theme team (don't know what I want to run on defense), so all of my O players get +2 speed, among other things. In game however, I don't really notice much separation on routes or speed runnings the ball as compared to the normal +1 speed boost from an all Alabama team. I'm not expecting my players to blow by every defender, but just expected more. 

Has anyone else with a +2 speed theme team on offense noticed a significant difference versus +1 speed?

torn on this is it better just to have the best players 

or do the improvements from team and playbook theme matter

it's hard to tell how much +1 +2 +3 SPD matters
