how should i start playing cut

i havent played cut all year and im wondering how i could get into cut but i dont want to spend money how should i start?

Do all the challenges.   Save tower of valor for when you have a better team.   Play a lot of solo seasons to get both coins and cards at the end.  Once you get around 300k in coins work the ah looking for snipes to resell while also filling up your roster.
