Playbook chemistry’s

Alright y’all , so I’m new to football ultimate team games (I’ve played 2k forever but it fell off so hard I’ll never buy it again😂) but i currently have 27/50 for my spread offense and 25/50 for my multiple defense chemistry’s , I was wondering if the team playbooks count as that or do I actually have to try and get the “multiple d” and “spread” playbooks somehow ?? bc it says “active” next to both but also still says I have to add the playbook to get a +25 boost so I’m confused af lol And if so where tf do I get those bc theh both say “no guaranteed source”

You most likely have the 25 from the playbooks you have… it’s highly unlikely you have that many of each player.

yeahhhh , i think that’s what I meant , I probs worded my question wrong lolol I have no clue what any of this chemistry even is tbh😂they don’t have this on 2k which is the only UT I’ve ever played but that game is trash so I didn’t even buy it this year !! 😅
 

it says “25/50 for multiple D and then 27/50 for spread and it says “active“ both but also still says “Add the multiple defense/spread playbook to get a 25+ chem boost” so I wasn’t sure if the boost was active bc the wording is confusing or if I needed the actual spread/multiple defense playbook  instead of using Florida (offense)/Texas(defense) playbooks bc they also say spread and multiple defense chemistry‘s on them

Yeah that’s correct.

So it’s correct that I am getting the boost ?? or correct that I need the actual playbooks and not the “team” spread/multiple d playbooks to get the boost ?? lol

also remember that only players with those chems get the boost, it doesn't apply to all players just those with the same chems. the 27/50 means you have 2 players in your depth chart getting the chem boost.

Makes sense , thanks !! I just wanted to make sure I was using it right bwfore I started actually investing in players for whatevr scheme I decide to use

Yes the way they word it is confusing.

You can equip either the Multiple D playbook or any Team Playbook that has the Multiple D logo on the bottom. This gets you 25/50 of the way there in maxing defensive chems. Each Multiple D player you put in your lineup will increase this by 1 until you max out at 50/50 (you have 25 lineup slots on defense)

Same goes for offense, you can get the Spread playbook from solo challenges, or just equip any Team Playbook with the Spread logo on the bottom to get the first 25 points of the 50.

Team chems are different. You can change each players’ school under their “Upgrade” screen for 15k coins (not refundable). There’s no +25 playbook boost for this one, so you need 50 players in your lineup all with the same school chemistry to get to 50/50. For example, if you had 20 players in your lineup with Oregon school chemistry, your Oregon chemistry on the right would say 20/50

Important: Only the players with the specific chemistry get the boost. So if you have 5 spread players and a spread playbook, your Spread will say 30/50, and only the players with the Spread chemistry will get the listed boosts

I am running a top 4 team theme team 50/50 (so the works in terms of boosts) as well as 50/50 spread. So my whole offense gets another +1 speed along with ethe original +2 from the oregon theme team. Pretty op ngl ,cards like Davante Adams and Alvin Kamara have 97 speed for me atm along with +4 acceleration

Is it worth it to try and get Playbook Chemistry and/or Team Chemistry or are you better off just getting the best players? 

It seems both Team Chemistry and Playbook Chemistry means you will have lesser players playing unless you spend a lot of money to get team chem on players... likewise with Playbook chemistry you might have to get rid of better players that don't fit team chemistry for lesser players that fit.

1. The issue with Team Chemistry is you to have some of your starters be players from that team and not all teams have good or non-expensive starters so you wind up playing lesser players just to get team chemistry (as well as having to buy dozens of cheap players from that team) I understand that you can switch players from any team to that team but it cost 15,000 to switch and it is non-refundable so if you want to sell that player you lose 15,000 and if you get a new better player for your lineup unless he's on that team you have to pay 15,000 to upgrade them.

2. Playbook Chemistry is even worse you might have lots of good players with the wrong Playbook chemistry and you cannot change them to the right playbook again forcing you to play with lesser players just for the chemistry, using the Playbook that matches gives you 25 chem so your team still needs a lot of players with the right playbook.

It is going to very expensive either way so i would just get the best players you can and add a top four theme team to them. You have to find very specific players to fit the scheme and with the market being depleted as it is (at least on xbox) for cards that arent currently out. Like I have been waiting for an 85 overall kicker from the first promo to get posted lol. long story short, get the best players you can and use the playbook your the most comfortable with
