I just got the game yesterday and started playing through some challenges but all my players are the definition of crap, so just wondering how should I start
Do the offense and defense scheme solos first, esp the off ones as you get free playbooks from each scheme, and you can figure out your gameplay while testing these books. Then just work through the solos to get free players!

-don't buy in AH to build sets yet as price floors are in
-find an offensive playbook you like and secure it from the challenges. Check some of the bigger programs in AH. I got playbooks in the challenges and sold those for a good amount of coins.
-get the 80+ BNDs out of the field pass and use those for now
-grind all American solo seasons...chew clock. You get enough in 1 season to just about get an 80 OVR in AH. Continue to build team out that way. With the field pass you should have enough for 80 OVR team.
-take it into H2H and pray you don't play people who got the glitch

Lol he's right , all I'm going to add is a good scheme and clock management can beat glitched/power teams online. Fastest way to upgrade your team is H2H but the tips offered are the correct approach
All the players suck at this point, so mostly just do what you think is fun. And if it’s not fun at all, play another game mode until a lot more content drops.
Ok thanks im Gonna get on that grind

Figure out what kind of team you want on offense and defense first and try to find the best low price value players you can get to progressively improve your team. If there's a 76 that's 6,000 but you can improve two or three other positions for that same price I would go with the multiple players over the one.
DON'T, that's the best way to start.

Haha
Tbh, the preorder helped out a bunch this time surprisingly (past few yrs of madden was crap with it luck wise so its my experience not everyones) so unless ur willing to throw $ at it u gotta grin and bear it which sucks bc its gonna turn away alot of players who are already so used to 99 ovrs from m24

Yea without the preorder points, idk if i would be where i'm at now sadly. I'm only 81 overall but i have low 80s at every position. Got lucky and pulled a few 83 and 85 BND so that helped and i got most of my coins from platinum packs i bought with the preorder points.
Dont start. Play any other mode besides CUT
Not buying the 100$ version of the game is a huge stepback starting at 70ovr versus 80ovr with all the points you get hard to play head to head when you have 70 speed players versus 80speed. probably would recommend spending the extra 25$ just to get that 10ovr jump. if not you will have to grind

Agree on this. I have an 80 OVR with a 84 BND as my best card and I'm 5-1 currently in Champs. My loss came against a God squad but the guy could play.
Point being that's about where you can be as an above avg player and compete. I'm finding a lot of bad players with good cards rn (at least how I'm matched).
