I think they shot their load too early and needed to take a break before they pissed off too many people for favoritism.
They just had Mullings, Grant and Desmond for Season 3 players. Braylon Edwards was a legend release. This on top of Woodson being the Legends Champion. Stewart and Barham have 89/88 cards. Donovan Edwards has 2 upgraded cards. Johnson is likely still in a lot of lineups as an 89 as well. Plus Des has another highly rated card.
FWIW I am a Michigan fan and was a little upset there wasn't a rival card as well, Mason Graham probably deserves another card but we were particularly fortunate with s3 cards for Michigan.
There are only 5 theme teams that are above Michigan(84) and they are tied with 3 others. So we have been lucky to get what we have with the down year.
