Anyone here play CUT purely as a solo player? If so how is the content for that this year?
It's better than last year. I'd say it's good but not great, but also won't be the same joining at the end of the year.
I am generally only a solo player. I enjoy the game and building my team.
I prefer solo games, I just wish they would make the games more challenging, although I should be careful I also don't won't the difficulty to be like some of their events have been.
I’m 99% solos. They’ve been super easy bar a couple of events where cpu has players with 99 speed, 99 power, 99 accel, 99 cod etc across the board. Literally DTs with 99 speed and accel. Those have been very tough.
There is a fair bit of content but a lot of the repeatable ones (solo seasons etc) do get repetitive and boring and require less than zero skill. They are just handy for completing objectives and resource gathering.
Challenges are mostly very basic (bar stupid game changers vol 1 where you had to work out cryptic stuff).
Solo, except for the H2H events where we have the "gentlemen's agreement" (ATQ, 50rush-2sacks, etc). Playing H2H you get to see the worst of gamers such as glitch/gimmick cheats, hate over the VOIP, and the game looks nothing like football (never saw a QB drop back 30 yards IRL). Being top 100 in a video game takes time and energy and many of us have better things to do. The worst are the players who love to announce they are top players then rip folks on threads like this one. Great dude, you are top 100, I am sure it is important to you because little else in life turned out great. These folks make the game toxic and keeps me playing solo.
I mainly play solo and have enjoyed building my team and doing most of the solo events. I would play more H2H if they could seperate hard core from the casual players. Allow causual player and beginnners to play for mimimum rewards but could complete achievements. Once you get to a number of wins you would no longer be allow to play easy tier and would have to play compairable player for the better rewards. This way the toxic hard core players can play each other for amazing rewards and would allow the casual player to just play for enjoyment.
Anyone got a view on how it compares to Madden?

This year was my first time doing CUT, and I started during the Home Coming Promo. My very first game was when mid blitz was 'META', and I played a kid who ran it every single play. Was also before I started muting before games. The number of times I was called a 'bum', and other choice words was super enjoyable to sit through. To his credit, at some point in the second half when i'm down like 35-0 I said something along the lines of, "I'm a 40 year old man, and this is my first time playing H2H. Obviously you're better than me." He then apologized and quit.

Yeah, that would be ideal. I actually like play H2H, but you never know who you're getting. To start the last H2H season I was matched up against 8 top 100 players in my frist 10ish games. I'm okay enough to not get completely walked, and I don't mind playing people that are clearly better. But I'd definitely play more if they had a better matching system. Like you said, have a system for the hardcore players, advanced players and one for casuals.

In my opinion this game is far more rewarding than Madden. The gameplay is also "looser" than Madden vs CPU, for example, a guaranteed catch knock out in Madden is a toss up in CUT. Stuff like that. Both games, once you get above a certain difficulty, implement "cheats" in the coding of the CPU opponent that make the game as unrealistic and as frustrating as any H2H opponent you could imagine.

Some of these players seem so weird. I just lost a game huge in ranked and the guy was still going for 2pts on every TD. He was addicted to speed glitch like a drug too, he was still doing it when I didn't have a playerswithin 10-15 yards of him on a clear path to the endzone. I think he was hoping I'd quit out but I was getting my numbers for Ranked field pass which when you lose you have to finish the game to get credit LOL
That’s the kinda stuff that baffles me. I try to finish all my ranked games out too. Even if I’m getting smashed, I’ll only get better by figuring out how to stop players like that. Obviously I had my limits though.

Same man, with how hyper competitive everyone has gotten in gaming this is unfortunately the only way to go. When there is a reward that helps you gain a player item that can help your team and the community comes together to help each other it’s great, but if not I’ll stick to my solo stuff. I like to team build and try to get the best I can, but I don’t want to consistently play people who spam something they found online on both sides of the ball. They talk mad amounts of crap if it works really well against or if you stop them. You can mute them but some will just message you. Solo team building with occasional community coming together is the way to go.

Well stated, I will play you any time... we can knock out some goals in CFB27
